Environment and sustainability in Cisalfa Group

Certifications

We aim to achieve the highest standards in the market and we work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure that they operate in full respect of human rights.

To date, we comply with the following standards:

Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)
The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status certifies us as a ‘reliable’ operator in the eyes of the Customs Authorities and is part of the new digitalized procedures governing relationships with the authorities responsible for control activities in international trade. This certification is in place for Cisalfa Sport S.p.A.

AEO (Authorized Economic Operator)

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
The GOTS certification ensures responsible and sustainable development within the textile sector and certifies the suitability of our production and product‑manufacturing processes, limiting the use of chemicals and meeting environmental criteria throughout all stages of the supply chain.

In addition to defining stringent environmental and social requirements, the GOTS certification guarantees that products contain at least 70% natural fibers from organic agriculture, that full traceability is maintained along the entire production process, and that the chemicals used in textile manufacturing comply with the required standards.

For labeling purposes, two levels are provided: ‘organic’ or ‘organic in conversion’ (at least 95% of the fibers must be certified organic or in conversion), and ‘made with x% organic (or in conversion) materials’ (at least 70% of the fibers must be certified organic or in conversion). This certification is in place for Cisalfa Sport S.p.A.

GOTS

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
The GRS certification – promoted by Textile Exchange, one of the most important international non-profit organizations dedicated to responsible and sustainable development in the textile sector – recognizes the importance of recycling in fostering a sustainable production and consumption model. Its goal is to reduce the use of resources (virgin raw materials, water, and energy) and to improve the quality of recycled products.

The GRS certification ensures that products contain at least 20% recycled materials (both pre-consumer and post-consumer), that traceability is maintained throughout the entire production process, and that the chemicals used in textile processing comply with the required standards.

Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
All our imported products comply with the REACH Regulation (officially EC Regulation No. 1907/2006), ensuring a high level of protection for human health and the environment. To demonstrate product safety, the labels on each item include information about the origin of the goods, fabric composition, washing instructions, care guidelines, and all importer details. Since 2022, the hangtag also provides environmental labeling instructions.

Quality Management Systems – QMS (UNI EN ISO 9001:2015)
This certification demonstrates our commitment to increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of internal processes while enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty in an increasingly competitive market environment. It is implemented within Cisalfa Sport S.p.A., Intersport Italia S.p.A., Italian Fitness S.r.l., and Tecnosport 2.0 S.r.l.

Information Security Management Systems – ISMS (ISO/IEC 27001:2022 assieme alla sua estensione ISO/IEC 27701:2019)
Obtaining this certification allows us to define, manage, and ensure an appropriate and proportionate selection of security controls for information management. It is implemented within Cisalfa Sport S.p.A., Intersport Italia S.p.A., Italian Fitness S.r.l., and Tecnosport 2.0 S.r.l.

Furthermore, we collaborate only with manufacturing companies that meet the requirements of major international certifications, including the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), SEDEX, and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), in order to verify that workers’ rights are respected.

These include legal assistance, freedom of association, the right to collective bargaining, the prohibition of any form of discrimination, fair remuneration, adequate working hours and proper recognition of any overtime, workplace health and safety, the absolute prohibition of child labor, and the intervention of local authorities in the event of violations of ethical and social principles.
