Cisalfa Group crosses national borders: acquisition of German company Sport Voswinkel

A new chapter has begun in our mission to spread sporting culture at every stage of life: Cisalfa Sport S.p.A. has acquired Sport Voswinkel GmbH & Co. KG from INTERSPORT Deutschland eG. This operation was born from the perfect collaboration between the companies present in the Intersport International network, which allows the Group to expand its activities in Germany and, more generally, abroad.

With this first important step, Cisalfa Group aims to make Sport Voswinkel one of the leading players in the German and European retail sports market. How will this be achieved? By maintaining a strategic partnership with INTERSPORT Deutschland and by opening new stores and evolving their concept, all while maintaining an omnichannel focus.

Founded in 1904 and based in Dortmund, Sport Voswinkel sells and distributes sportswear, footwear, and sports equipment in 10 federal states in about 50 stores. The company recorded a turnover of almost €100 million in the last fiscal year and carried out a repositioning process through numerous investments (over €5.5 million in the last three years), thus ensuring a solid position in the German market, which allows the Cisalfa Group not only to maintain its current organisational structure of around 500 employees but also to expand it.

The growth of Cisalfa Group has already gone through other important acquisitions in Italian areas in the past. Thanks to operations such as Goggi Sport, Longoni Sport, and Milanesio Sport, the Group has expanded across the peninsula. Today, thanks to the ever-valuable partnership with Intersport International, Cisalfa Group also started to grow internationally.
