Sport as well‑being: from words to action – The Cisalfa Group survey on Italians’ sporting habits
News
Cisalfa Group presented the study “Sport as Well‑Being: From Words to Action,” carried out in collaboration with Community Research & Analysis, which explores Italians’ habits and opinions regarding sports. The findings of the research will be distributed free of charge in upper secondary schools to raise awareness among younger generations about the importance of sports as a driver of physical and psychological well‑being. Among the key insights, it emerges that 80% of Italians engage in physical activity, mostly independently.
However, the study shows that sports are not yet accessible to everyone: 30% of respondents call for lower costs and more equipped public spaces, while 24% request greater safety for evening sports activities. Moreover, participants recognize the fundamental role that schools could—and should—play in teaching proper physical, nutritional, and health‑related behaviors.
The research also highlights the importance of sustainability—75% of respondents believe that sports organizations should make greater efforts to promote sustainability—as well as the role of technology and AI, which are seen as useful tools for sports practice, including the analysis of athletic performance.
